My employment as a live=in caregiver has ended, do to the death of my client, Richard Carpenter. I was with Mr. Carpenter for four and a half years. We had a great relationship and I miss him very much. I adopted the attitude that whatever happened, he was right. It took a lot of stress out of the job, I just would smile and say "Oh, yes, that is a great idea!" And it made me feel good and it made him think that I was working for his behalf. Cause I was! I am from Oregon, out here visiting my son, Casey Beaudoin in Dayton, and he wants me to stay near him (I had not intended for this to happen, but I find I love the area and really don't want to be apart from him any longer. My experiences are: dressing and attaching a colostomy bag, gravity and machine feedings, giving morphine, allergy, and diabetic shots. administering medications, taking care of my Mother who had dementia, dressing wounds, transfer assistance. I took a course in Oregon with the Legacy Health System, and received a certificate, and I've had a criminal background check that was negative, and have excellent references.
