Hi. I'm a warm, uplifting, responsible, mid 40's woman with many senior fans, excellent references, and 4.5 years of private caregiving/companion experience. I also have 8 years of experience as an Activity Director for seniors, planning activities, trips, and entertainment galore. This, and the fact that I'm a college grad lets me bring more to a job as a caregiver. I am experienced with: Alzheimer's, dementia, diabetes, strokes, heart diseases, speech impediments, hearing loss, depression, special diets, etc. etc. I have excellent skills in: cooking/baking, bathing, dressing assistance, personal care, pill dispensing, exercise programs, driving, shopping, menu planning, housecleaning, laundry, pet care and individually tailored recreational activities, if desired. I don't do heavy lifting. I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs. I enjoy taking excellent care of those I work for...bringing the unexpected flowers, tomatoes, or grapes from the garden, or a new cd or food that might be enjoyed. I get to know the person I'm caring for and the best way to relate to them. Everybody is unique and has different wants and needs. At my last job, the family credited me with bringing a huge amount of life, happiness and clarity back to their elderly mother. I'm available 24/7, including holidays.
