REFFERAL LETTER This is a letter to highly recommend our care provider, Bella, who we knew as Bella. Bella was our live-in caregiver for my husband Cecil Cohen during the final weeks of his struggle with Parkinson's. His needs were total and Bella provided impeccable care with grace and ease making his final days a comfort for him and all of our family. Bella is first of all highly intelligent. She grasps the situation immediately and with great sensitivity adjusts accordingly to the changing needs of the patient and the entire family. She has excellent speaking and written English skills. I was hesitant to have strange rs living in my home, Bella sensed this, and within a few hours I felt relaxed and trusted her to give good care to Cecil and take care of me too! She knew I loved the house orderly and was constantly cleaning and straightening, knowing how it calmed me. She always remained unobtrusive, yet quietly reminding us of what is needed. In any emergency she was quick to respond and evaluated Cecil's needs appropriately. I trusted. Her. Bella was highly competent with all aspects of Cecil's care: Hoyer lift, catheter care, medication administration, skin care, decubitus care, fastidious hygiene skills, bed bath, transferring and much more. She not only demonstrated this high level of skill and competence, but of all our caregivers, she was the most gentle, and Cecil himself commented on her gentleness. She used excellent judgment and we had confidence in her abilities. Bella is caring and when Cecil died she wept with us. She moved immediately to take care of all the necessary medical det a ils, guiding us through the process. Bella made the difference in having the end of Cecil's life be calm, peaceful and loving.
