I have 1 year experienced working with a 79 years old lady who had dementia. I loved working with her she was really fun. we will sing together. My duties were giving her medication, light cleaning and cooking, cleaning the house , and bathrooms taking her for a walk in a nice afternoon.

Presently working with 86 year old woman who is wheelchair bound. Duties include helping with all facets of care from showering, help with toiletries and dressing. I give medications orally and also apply her needed medicated patches. I cook and make sure she is receiving the proper nutrition. I have been with her for 9 months. I occasionally stay overnight. She has a group of 4 women giving her round the clock care.

I worked in a nursing home years ago, and I saw the abuse the elderly received and my mother died in a home and if I can help someone and make there life easier that I would love to help along as I don't have to life anyone. Also I worked in a private catholic hospital, where the rich admitted their parents while they vacation and I would get attached just talking with them and I also did meals on wheels.

I am a physical Therapy student. I am currently working on my doctorate in physical therapy at North Georgia. I have extensive experience with patients in the therapy clinic.
I did a rotation at NorthSide Forsyth in inpatient PT. So I have experience getting patients out of bed, walking with IV's, checking Oxygen intake, taking vital signs, and preforming exercises with the elderly. I have also cared for a sick parent.
