I took care of my father which had cancer and alzheimers until he passed away. I at that time placed my mom in a assistant living to be around of people her age but she had her own apartment. I would go to visit her and take care of all the other ladies that lived there also. They would love me to come and cook for them, wash their hair and fix their hair, do their nails and feet. I would make sure they were taking their meds, take them on walks, to the doctor and store. Go get their groceries. At times I would just set and listen to their stories. I loved it. I would love to be able to take care of a senior and show them they are so loved.
