Overnight Caregiver Supervisor

The Team Leader must have the skills necessary to direct, supervise and manage the Resident Services and hands-on activities of Certified Nurse's Aides and Personal Care Providers as well as the ability to perform the same duties as the CNA and PCP. Duties & Responsibilities (This list may not include all of the duties assigned and may be supplemented) 1.Supervise Certified Nurses Aides (CNA) and Personal Care Provider (PCP) in regard to job performance, designation of duties, including developing and maintain the staffing plan for assigned areas and shifts. This includes insuring that coverage is procured in the event of a CNA/PCP's absence. 2.Maintain required resident records in compliance with regulatory requirements, facility policies and standards of care. 3.As part of the admission and discharge committee, provide input and assistance with the admission, discharge and transfer of residents. 4.Assist with the physical care of residents such as bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, undressing and other activities of daily living. 5.Inventory resident possessions on admission and discharge insuring that all documents/ inventory sheets are completed. 6.Administer medications and treatments per physician orders. Insure that accurate and timely documentation occurs regarding medications in compliance with regulatory requirements, facility policies and standards of care. 7.Communicate with families, pharmacies, residents and physicians regarding resident's medication issues, physical condition and any changes in care plans. 8.Schedule staff duties and assignments in accordance with resident personal care plans and insure that the assignments were carried out. 9.Insure that proper and accurate documentation is completed by staff. 10.Rotate being "on-call" during off hours with other team leaders for CNA/PCP call ins and insure that adequate coverage is obtained. 11.Attend staff meetings on a regular basis, conduct team staff meetings and shift change reviews and insure that absent staff receive any pertinent information. 12.Insure staff maintains a safe clean and orderly med room. 13.Other duties as assigned. Education/Certification/Experience 1.High school diploma or GED preferred. 2.Certificate/License: Assisted Care Certification, Med Certification, Food Handler's Certification, Valid Driver's License and current auto insurance preferred. 3.Experience in assisted living setting and multi-line phone system preferred but not required
